Star S, SS, SM, S Super and SM Super .380ACP semi auto pistols were produced from the 1940's to the 1980s. In the 1980s Interarms imported used and reconditioned Star guns. The guns have many minor dimensional variations that will affect the fit of parts and magazines. The wide base magazine is about 1/8" longer but the  top of magazine catch to the feed lips is the same as the narrow base. Interarms sold both wide base and narrow base magazines under the same part number, STF-21097 was used for Starvel and STF-21091 for blued. Some fitting may be required.
