Please note the 5 round magazine has 2 catch/lock notches on the side, points "A" and "B" and will also fit some Anschutz guns as noted below. The top catch slot may need a slight adjustment in some examples of Anschutz rifles encountered. This magazine when measured from the top of the floor plate to the top of the magazine is approximately 1.75". Some older Savage guns originally shipped with a 5 or 6 round magazine that was slightly longer. If your gun uses the longer magazine then the 10 round magazine listed at the bottom of this page must be used as this 5 round will not insert far enough into the gun without a slight alteration to the stock. This 5 round magazine may be too short for some model 416 guns.
