Most No. 1 MK.III rifles were manufactured by the Royal Small Arms Factory in Middlesex-England and used by the British Army for over 50 years starting in the early 1900's. No. 4 MK. I rifles were manufactured in England by B.S.A., Royal Ordnance Factory Liverpool, Royal Ordnance Factory Sheffield. They were also manufactured by Canada in Long Branch Ontario and in the USA by Savage/Stevens. They were adopted by the British Army in the late 1930's and used during WWII. |
