The liquid cleaning products on this page are triple duty products. They have a mild cleaning action and will also lubricate and protect metal surfaces. If heavy cleaning or degreasing action is needed on metal parts I use a brake cleaner that I purchase at an auto supply store, it is far less expensive then a specialty gun cleaning product. Be sure to choose one that does not contain MEK/ Methylene Chloride. Brake cleaner is generally not safe for wood or plastic! One of the products on this page or one of the lubricants we sell must be used after using brake cleaner to protect the metal surface from corrosion as the brake cleaner will strip off all oils from the metal. As with all products try it on an inconspicuous spot to be sure it will not damage the finish of the gun. This information is provided as is and we assume no liability for damages.
